The community of Westport gives you the feel of a older lake nieghborhood that winds through coves of the west side of Lake Norman. The architecture varies from a smaller lake home get away to a million dollar estate. This community wraps around the Westport Golf Course and prices range from around 200K up to a million dollars. In the past the west side of Lake Norman has been known as being a little more quiet and layed back. Within the past few years development has brought shopping, great restaurants and convenience to the home owners on this side of the lake. There are a couple of private golf courses to choose from as well as a few very nice public courses within a short drive. Highway 16 is very close and is about a 25 mile commute to Uptown Charlotte.
